Designed like a sophisticated apothecary, the striking black, white and copper aesthetic is complemented by the olfactory delights of the brand’s products, making a visit to this store a real feast for the senses.
With stores in both the V&A Waterfront’s Watershed, and at Delaire Graff, Africa Nova offers an unerring eye of exquisitely curated African design and craft. Celebrating both the contemporary and the traditional in African design, customers can be assured that they are getting the best this continent has to offer in artefacts, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, basketry and more.
SUP Cape Town offers newbies and experienced stand up paddlers alike, the chance to experience the sport, right on the canals of the V&A Waterfront. With a passion for “getting people on the water with the best equipment”, SUP provides both classes and equipment rental, as well as new kit, and the owners live for “seeing people enjoy walking on water".
Now You See Me, in Norwood, Johannesburg, is an optometry and luxury eyewear store that treats spectacles like art. As well as decades of experience and the latest technology in optometry, the store is gallery-like in eye-resting shades of apricots and pinks with a curated selection of eyewear from around the world.
5. Mr Cobbs
Delightfully nostalgic, Mr Cobbs at the V&A Waterfront, offers a traditional hot-towel shave, haircut and other specialised grooming treatments and products for men. The experience is complemented by antique barber chairs and Victorian trimmings, allowing visitors to step back in time while enjoying a moment of luxurious me-time.
A community-centered, collectively run bookshop in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, The Commune stocks a curated selection of books that reflect the team’s commitment to political and social matters. The intention is for the not-for-profit organisation to become both a resource and a meeting space for people who share the same values.

Based in Riebeek Kasteel, this unique wine store is dedicated to local niche and unknown wines, rarely found outside of the region.
